DroneControl is proud to announce the launch of our latest innovation: Instant Media Upload, a new feature that transforms how drone operators capture, manage, and share mission-critical media.
With Instant Media Upload, high-resolution photos and videos are automatically uploaded directly from the remote controller into the DroneControl Portal — securely and seamlessly.
Real-Time Photo Uploads — Even While the Drone is in the Air
Pilots can now see their mission photos appear instantly in the DroneControl Portal while the drone is still flying. As each image is captured, it is automatically transferred through a secure, encrypted connection to the operator’s cloud environment — ready for viewing, analysis, and sharing in real time.

This eliminates the need for time-consuming manual transfers and SD card handling. Teams in command centres can now monitor live photo uploads, tag, and review data while the flight is ongoing — improving both situational awareness and operational efficiency.
Automatic Video Uploads Once the Drone Lands
Once the drone has landed, recorded videos are automatically uploaded to the Portal, ensuring that the entire mission’s media package is securely backed up and accessible moments after landing.

This process maintains chain-of-evidence integrity by ensuring that all captured data is stored directly from the field device to the organization’s central platform, without manual handling or intermediate devices.
A Significant Workflow Improvement
Traditionally, drone pilots needed to:
Land the drone,
Remove the SD card,
Transfer files to a laptop,
Manually upload content to a central system.
With Instant Media Upload, that entire process becomes fully automated. What used to take 20–30 minutes per flight can now happen instantly — saving valuable time in emergency response, inspection, and security operations.

Secure, Reliable, and Built for Professionals
Like all DroneControl products, Instant Media Upload uses end-to-end AES-256 encryption and is fully compatible with DroneControl’s secure local market-based hosting and on-premise deployment options. Every file is automatically time-stamped, geotagged, and associated with its corresponding flight log, guaranteeing full traceability.
Transforming Data Flow for Public Safety and Enterprise
Whether used by public safety teams managing real-time incidents, infrastructure inspectors working across remote sites, or enterprise operators handling sensitive environments, Instant Media Upload represents a major leap forward in data workflow automation and reliability.

Available Now
Instant Media Upload is available starting today for all enterprise customers with the latest DroneControl Flight App and Portal update.
