We’re excited to announce the latest release across both the DroneControl Portal and the FirstResponder Flight Application—focused on giving teams even more visibility, reliability, and intelligence when operating drones in critical environments.
DroneControl Portal – Smarter Hardware Tracking
Managing your drone fleet just got simpler. This release introduces hardware possession tracking, allowing organisations to keep full oversight of who is operating what, and when.
Manual & Automatic Hardware Possession: All users can now assign hardware directly to themselves via the portal—or let pilots automatically take possession when logging into the app.
Admin Overview: A new team-wide view shows which drones and equipment are in possession of each user.
User Profile View: Individual team members can now see all hardware currently assigned to them, increasing transparency and accountability.
These updates not only streamline daily operations but also support stronger compliance and auditability across teams.

Weather for Safer Night Operations
Live Weather for Night Flights: We now show detailed weather indicators to help determine suitability for night missions, in line with regulatory best practices.
Historical Weather Recovery: If your drone was offline or out of signal during flight, you can now retrieve historical weather conditions automatically when uploading the flight - ensuring post-flight records are complete and accurate.
Improved Experience Across the Board
German Language Enhancements: We’ve improved translations and formatting for German-speaking users to create a smoother experience across the platform.
Dark Mode Refinements: Better readability and contrast, especially in critical admin screens and flight views.
Bug Fixes & Security Upgrades: Ongoing improvements to platform stability, responsiveness, and system integrity.
DroneControl FirstResponder App – Version 2.1.1
On the flight side, DroneControl FirstResponder V2.1.1 is out now with several important updates:
Automatic Hardware Possession: As soon as a pilot logs into the app, the drone they connect with is automatically registered to their profile - saving time and reducing manual admin.
Weather Data at Upload: If a drone loses connectivity during a mission, weather data will now be recovered when uploading the flight.
Various Bug Fixes & Security Enhancements: As always, we've addressed reported issues and fortified system reliability.
This release is another step forward in our mission to make public safety and enterprise drone operations simpler, smarter, and more secure.
